Rev. Ruby Ollivierra

ruby newRev. Ruby Ollivierra committed her life to the Lord at an early age. Immediately, God began working in her healing all the brokenness and hurt she experienced. At this time, she had no idea that the Lord would use her to affect so many lives for His glory. It all started when she told the Lord if nobody would pray for her Pastor, then she would. It was done in secret, God was about to bring to the open.

Her ministry as an intercessor began when she was asked by Dr Marilyn Chankersingh to lead the Wednesday morning prayer meeting. She recalls feeling so inadequate and so unprepared for such a colossal task, but her prayer was “Lord, make me a woman of God and of prayer. Make me a blessing.”

In 1988 she obtained her Bachelor in Theology degree and the Lord took her through three years of ministry preparation. God called her into full-time ministry in 1998 and she became part of the pastoral staff.

God has used everything that Rev. Ollivierra had been through to make her a more effective minister. Today she is Minister of Intercession and Social Services, functions as a Good Success Group captain, and has birthed out of the Prayer Ministry several other ministries such as the Literacy Ministry, Shut-ins, Home Visitation, Hospital Ministry, Prison Ministry.

Though it has been challenging, God has used all the negatives as stepping stones to His Great Plan. Her testimony is: “He who has begun a good work in me is able to complete it.” For her, it is no secret what God can do. She thoroughly enjoys ministry, no job for her is too big or too small. Looking back, she now knows that God has a purpose and a plan to do us good all the days of our lives.
