Rev. Joseph Ali

josephRev. Joseph Ali has been attending Faith Centre since 1992. He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour at the age of 18, prior to which he had been living on his own since age 15. He came from a broken home and living on his own so early in life was very difficult. A friend kept inviting him to church and after refusing the invitation for almost one year, Rev. Ali finally decided to attend. He remembers walking into the church and experiencing a peace that he never had before. He continued attending church in the following weeks and eventually received Christ.

He had been attending Faith Centre for a period of two years when he allowed certain circumstances in his life to cause him to backslide and fall away from the Lord; this was during 1993-1995. He attests that those were the worst two years of his life, for everything that could’ve gone wrong, went wrong at the time. He was working for a Security Company that was located on the outskirts of San Fernando, living in one of their rented apartments that were provided for their employees. One day the manager announced that the company was moving to a new location in San Fernando, when Rev. Ali enquired where, he was told Prince of Wales Street next to Faith Centre. His heart skipped a beat. The place that he had been running away from, God brought him back, right there, at Faith Centre. God began working in his life and within a matter of days he was back in Church re-dedicating his life to the Lord. He felt the call of God and immediately started attending Faith Centre Bible College to help fulfill the call of God on his life.

Since re-dedicating his life to the Lord, he has learnt to apply God’s Word to his life, has experienced His working power of change and tremendous blessings in his life. He has been on fulltime staff for several years at Faith Centre and is involved in the following Ministries – Good Success Groups as a Captain/Leader, Hospital Visitation, Evangelism Outreach and is the Bishop’s Armour Bearer. He is married to a wonderful woman of God, Sally, and they have a beautiful daughter, Hannah. He is presently attending Caribbean Missions Bible College pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Theology. His greatest joy is living for Jesus and being able to do the work of His Ministry and though there are times of trials and hurts, he has learnt to trust Christ in everything.
