Faith Centre had its birth pangs at Bishop’s home. However, it was on Sunday 16th October 1983 at Jesus Deliverance Centre that we had our first official service. Soon after, in December 1983, we were led to Prince of Wales Street to the then Rakeeb Hosein building where God began moving in such a phenomenal way that many of us were propelled into ministry. In 1985 we acquired and moved into what was formerly Globe cinema, our home. In March, 1992 our first church was birthed in Arima, pastored by Rev. Afzal Ali and his lovely wife Linda. Then in January 2000 another Faith Centre was pioneered in Port of Spain by Dr. Leslie Persaud and his lovely wife Hassina.
The Lord has sovereignly taken us through giant steps of faith accomplishing the impossible. Through the visionary and prolific spirit of our Bishop and his wife we were challenged into the building of the Complex.
Faith Centre in Arima is involved in several arms of Ministry which include Hospital and Prison visitation, an Outpost at La Retreat in Wallerfield, Street Evangelism, Newspaper, Radio, Producers of Tracts and Booklets and The Good Samaritan Basket founded by Pastor Linda Ali, to reach out to destitute families by meeting their needs in a holistic manner.

In 1987, Pastors Knolly and Rosalind Mahadeo, together with their three children, accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior at Faith Centre, Trinidad. The Mahadeo family came from Hinduism, and stood by the Word that changed their lives: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1
Holding the Word strong in their hearts, the Mahadeo family migrated to the United States in the 1990’s. The pastors immediately sought the face of God through intercession, prayer and fasting, as they sat in the center of God’s heart, in His will, waiting for direction.
In obedience to God’s voice, they opened their home for prayer and intercession meetings in 1990. The meetings expanded after they moved to a new home in Bergenfield, NJ. People came and sat on the floor, praying and worshipping for hours without instruments or music, waiting on the Lord for His next move. Shortly afterwards, the meetings outgrew the house. It was time to move!
In February of 2006, Bishop Carlyle Chankersingh ordained Pastor Rosalind and HIS Throne Room began its Sunday services. At that point, they officially became a church. Miraculously, God provided the funds for their congregation to move into their new church building in Morris Plains, NJ.
